Pioneers of brine injectors

History History

A family run business

Suhner was founded in 1939 by Paul Suhner. Initially, the company traded with natural casings and articles for butchery supplies.

Walter Suhner took over the company from his father in 1952, the company expanded further and started with the manufacture of machinery for ham production. Thus, the first injector in Europe was built by Suhner in 1967. The newly developed brine injection machine proved to be a great sales success and soon inquiries from all over the world started to come in. At the same time especially the trade in equipment for the production of sausages successfully pressed ahead (cutters, grinders, fillers, smoking systems, etc.).

Suhner AG Bremgarten participated in the development of brine injection technology, mainly modern brine injectors, massaging machines, vacuum tumblers and ham presses, which still proudly bear the name "Suhner".

Walter Suhner Junior ran the company tradition from 1992 - 2009 in the third generation. He set up a broad dealer network, which today spans 40 countries worldwide.

Today, the company is successfully managed by the fourth generation by Jason and Nicolas Suhner.
